amidst green vertignous mountains, lush valley fields and dreams of sheapherding this person, sick and stumbly, attempted to unearth the formula for percentages as my companion's phone rang with results from other comunes...I also got to tagg along to hear the ballot counting results in three towns;
sat around in another mountain town hall/community centre to hear the results roll in; along with the double-echo fuzytv-and-radio (on opposite ends of the room) bleating out the requisite Prez of the rep. speech...
a little dancing a little champaign... a lot of just glad to be here today.

Yep, there is always that little hint in daily marking to let you know that there is a student having some trouble.

Maybe this is my new career direction...I feel a bit like I'm in training...imean they chew everything that goes into their mouths, they make little noises to get your attention, often at the same time, they scamper, and at least goats wont pick their noses and eat the 'reward' while you continue to stare at them disbeleavingly. (im not kidding about any one single thing in this discription of my latest class of 9 year olds)

Pausing from my Goat Rancher in training occupation, yesterday evening I went to Thonon, up lake from Annem. here and sat directly in line with setting sun--light difused through clouds until its little window of free burning brilliqnce as it slid over the Jura, its reflective tail in grey purple water flecked with orange. I was there, more excitingly because my NON theatre troupe new friends emailed me to see what was up and would I like to see Starwars...

I cant tell you how funny it is to watch dubbed. A whole other kind of entertainment
think darth vador with an accent
''Darth Va DOrrre''
Is it possible the movie was bad...maybe i have to watch it in Version Original...I will love it for its nostalgic qualities...and sense of solidarity with other Star Wrs goers of my life...but seriously, this time I don't know...

THE LIGHT HERE ON SUNNY DAYS IS INCREDIBLE; On the way to the theatre, at dusk, before a requisite kabab, I got to poster a NON poster (thanks to teh cmnist prty)

Here's a fact for you--only polit parties are allowed to poster for this referendum-- if you're question is what refferendum try the key words ''TraiteƩ constitutionelle'' or ''EU constitution''.

Another fact: anticonstitutionellement is the longest word in the french language, delight in sharing this is something my little pencilchewers and fellow collegues have in common.

I still have a sense of vertigo,
i wasnt the one on a plane,

breath in
out

i have mountain biked, tucked in 11 year olds, cut my hair, mountain climbed a little-- enough to remember what real vertigo and trust feels like, especially with an 11 year old Balaying (ahhh).
I rode my bike back from Bonneville (with no helmet, bad bad bad) on sunday because i missed the train, and felt like moving...20Km! It was awesome, but my bum still hurts.

I think maybe vertigo is linked to trust in the other person or some undefined next moment-- or rather not trusting the next moment. you either give into it, and experience the rush, the inevitability of the moment-regardless of whether you really drop or not; or you resist it and experience the blinding panick of uncomprehended uncontrolled movement.

Kundera would have something else to say, likely that we want to fall. because the void, touching it, even just at the edges of your mouth might be the only thing that reminds you what the other is...the other what? i havent gottten that far in my attempt at specifiying vertigo.

if you move fast enough, though, you might over come centrifugal force--which apparently doesnt exist, as i learned on a spinny playground toy with L and C--and leave that thing in the corner of your eye, in the corner. Maybe that is why people are driven to cross the world in boats, in little planes, climb mountains... sit on the furthest edge of land jutting out into a windy ocean exhalation. Or maybe thats blinders were invented.

maybe thats why the instinct is to breath in when you catch yourself about to fall...

like you can suck back all that was about to be exhaled by
